Once Upon Our Time Capsule is a non-profit dedicated to connecting youth across classrooms, communities and time. Much more than a collection of artifacts, our annual Youth Time Capsule engages young people in sharing their unique stories and perspectives. Through our arts-infused, SEL-aligned curriculum, we help youth build their sense of self-worth, belonging, and empathy.

We are launching the Once Upon Our Time Capsule National Learning Network with 4th-8th grade teachers and school counselors from across the U.S.

Participants will:

• Implement the 2024 Youth Time Capsule curriculum in Fall 2024. This supplemental curriculum is completed over approximately 8 hours.

• Receive training on the curriculum, as well as all materials that are needed for your classroom to participate.

In addition to implementing the curriculum, you will:

• Participate in three 90-minute virtual meetings for training and to share feedback on how the curriculum can best meet the needs of your community Make connections with teachers across the country

• Help design and build this innovative approach to supporting youth as we increase our reach beyond Chicago

• Implement a joyful and novel approach to strengthening belonging and connection within your classroom

• Receive a $1000 stipend
